On-Call Project Management Oversight

In the spring of 2008, Strategic Building Solutions (SBS) was among a handful of firms selected to provide project management oversight, construction inspection, and owner’s representation support, on an on-call basis.  Responsibilities within this contract may include project oversight and management for pre-construction, construction administration and construction activities, coordination of building inspections, scheduling, estimating, documenting and reporting. In addition, this on-call contract may require the provision of technical assistance in budget development and documentation as well as written reports, as required, for each project, program, and/or assignment. Pre-inspection of work completed for quality assurance and scheduling of building inspections may also be required as may the maintenance of physical and electronic files for all project documents.

Subsequently, in the summer of 2008, SBS was selected to provide “On-Call Project Management Oversight for Design and Construction Project Management Oversight and Owner’s Representation Support.”  SBS has provided such services for more than two dozen projects across the UConn Storrs campus, including:

• Shippee Hall Elevator
