The City of Chicopee has retained Strategic Building Solutions to serve as Project Manager during the construction of its new Older Adult Community Center.
The Chicopee Council on Aging operates a multi-purpose senior center currently utilized by 3,000 older adults from within the community. A feasibility study was conducted in the fall of 2005 and it was determined that the program needs of the Council were for the development of a two-story, 24,000 square-foot facility.
As Project Manager, SBS provides advice and consultation with respect to design, value engineering, scope of work, cost estimating, evaluation of general contractor and subcontractor qualifications, scheduling, construction, and the selection, negotiation with, and oversight of a designer and general contractor for the project.
