Bridgeport Public Schools
Multi Magnet High School

SBS was chosen by the City of Bridgeport’s Division of Construction Management Services to provide independent commissioning services for various school projects as part of the City’s Capital Improvement Program. Subsequently, SBS was appointed to provide comprehensive commissioning services for the construction of Bridgeport’s new Multi Magnet High School.  The Multi Magnet High School will consist of a 3-story/210,000gsf facility which will be comprised of classrooms, media center, gymnasium, cafeteria with performance platform, art and music rooms, and administrative office areas. The project is being designed according to LEED Silver standards and guidelines and will be pursuing certification from the U.S.Green Building Council. 

As commissioning agent, SBS serves as an objective advocate of the City of Bridgeport’s Division of Construction Management Services, overseeing and coordinating the commissioning process throughout the design phase, bid phase, construction phase and post construction/warranty phase.  Systems included within the scope of commissioning services include HVAC, exhaust, power, lighting, chilled water, heating, hot water, domestic cold/domestic hot water, plumbing, and building management systems.
