Holyoke High School
Holyoke, MA
As a result of a feasibility study commissioned by the City of Holyoke, the School Building Advisory Committee has implemented the “2008-2010 School Improvements Project” to provide several crucial improvements for Holyoke High School.
Built in 1964, Holyoke High School is a three-story building encompassing a total square footage of 199,560 square feet. As is the case with many public schools in large urban communities, Holyoke High School was in critical need of updates to reflect current technologies, curricula and teaching methodologies. The identified improvements focus on the modernization of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems.
Although approval was granted under previous regulations, the Holyoke High School Renovation project bears the distinction of being one of the first high schools to move forward with its renovations under the new Massachusetts School Building Authority guidelines.
Due to the major emphasis upon the building’s mechanical systems, SBS, as the Owner’s Representative, will provide a comprehensive and integrated project management and commissioning approach to facilitate, coordinate and manage the project.
